Hi, my name is Paul and I'm fundraising for Daniel whose store was burglarized last night. Someone broke the front door glass to get inside and stole about $200 worth of cigarettes at around 3 AM. The glass will cost $1200 to replace, but last weekend someone tried breaking in through the backdoor and damaged the door so badly it will cost $1500. Last year someone broke all the glass in front of the store, costing $4000 to repair, which he had to make monthly payments to pay off. It's not worth submitting an insurance claim because it's barely above the deductible and his rates will go up with each claim. Everything was caught on video but the burgler is all coverd up so it's unlikely the police will find him/her.

Daniel has been the owner of the Get N Go gas station market for 15 years and barely making ends meet. There were times when the bank almost foreclosed on the property because he was not able to make the mortgage payments. He and his sister work there from 8 AM to 8 PM 365 days a year without any vacations. He's been very lonely working there without any breaks, and it's extremely discouraging when something like this happens. The store is conveniently located near downtown Chehalis and gas prices are almost the cheapest in town. As I was talking with him outside the store, many regular customers passing through expressed their sympathy when they saw the broken door.
