Help My Sister Rebuild Her Life After Unimaginable Loss
Hello, my name is Travis Lawson, and I’m creating this GoFundMe for my little sister, Vicky Brooks — one of the most selfless, loving people I know.
For years, Vicky and her husband, Tim Brooks, put their lives on hold to take care of our mother. They sacrificed everything so she would never have to spend a single day in a nursing home. Because of them, our mom was able to live out her final years surrounded by love, dignity, and family. We lost our mother three years ago, and Vicky and Tim finally planned to focus on themselves after a lifetime of serving others.
They saved every dollar they could, bought a small piece of land, and dreamed of building a tiny home together.
Then the unthinkable happened.
Tim, her husband of over twenty years, passed away suddenly at just 47 years old.
Vicky has been completely devastated — emotionally and financially. Today, she is living alone in a 1974 trailer that is falling apart. It was supposed to be temporary until their tiny home was built, but instead, it has become a dangerous place to live. This weekend, it was so cold inside that I honestly feared she could freeze. The electrical situation is old and unsafe, and every night I worry the place could catch fire.
I’ve been helping Vicky as much as I can since Tim passed, but I’ve reached the limit of what I can do on my own. I’m asking for help because she truly deserves it, and she has no one else left to lean on.
My goal is simple: to help her finally build the tiny home that she and Tim dreamed of, so she can have a safe, warm, stable place to live — and a fresh start after so much loss.
Any donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference. Even sharing this page helps more than you know.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, thank you for caring, and thank you for helping my sister rebuild her life.
— Travis
PS. If all the people, I know just donated $20 that would be enough to get her the home she needs. So, Lord please put it on as many people's hearts to donate, she has given so much.
