Help Me Make My Home Safe So I Can Continue To Live Here

Most of you know, I live by myself in an older trailer. Over the years, I've started to remodel and fix things as best I can, but now I desperately need help. My windows don't open, and my screen door was pulled out of the frame by the wind and can't be repaired. I can't even open my front door for fresh air. I also need central air to make the summers bearable, and a walk-in shower to make daily life safer. I can't do this myself, nor can I afford to have it done.

If I had windows that opened, I could be less dependent on my window air conditioner and finally let in some fresh air. A new screen door would allow me to open my front door safely. I'm prone to falling and have osteoporosis, and after four surgeries on my left wrist—including a recent, very difficult one—I'm still trying to recover. This has been the roughest rehab I've ever had, even compared to my knee replacement. A walk-in shower would be best for me because of my health and mobility challenges.

Those who really know me, know how hard it is for me to ask for help or even let others know my situation. I've always tried to figure things out on my own, but this time I can't do it alone. I'm very lucky God has taken care of me no matter what, and I'm hoping, with the support of friends, family, and God, I can get the help I need for what I can't do myself.
