Like many of us today, we live in fear that one day our loved ones might not make it back home during these difficult times that our community is facing. Unfortunately, that became a reality for my family when my father, Vicente Perea, was detained at work during the raid at Glass House Farms in Camarillo, California on Thursday, July 10.

My father is a kind and hardworking man that like many, came to this country in search of a better life for his loved ones. He has always done his best to support our family, so this news has devastated us emotionally and financially. We recently found out he was transferred to San Luis Regional Center in Arizona and need all support we can get to cover the legal expenses and not leave my family struggling

Como muchos de nosotros hoy, vivimos con el temor de que algún día nuestros seres queridos no puedan regresar a casa durante estos tiempos difíciles que enfrenta nuestra comunidad. Desafortunadamente, esto se convirtió en una realidad para mi familia cuando mi padre, Vicente Perea, fue detenido en su trabajo durante la redada en Glass House Farms en Camarillo, California, el jueves 10 de julio.

Mi padre es un hombre amable y trabajador que como muchos, vino a este país en busca de una vida mejor para sus seres queridos. Siempre ha hecho todo lo posible por apoyar a nuestra familia, por lo que esta noticia nos ha devastado emocional y económicamente. Recientemente supimos que fue transferido al Centro Regional de San Luis en Arizona y necesitamos todo el apoyo posible para cubrir los gastos legales y no dejar a mi familia en apuros.
