Urgent Appeal to Save VFW Post 8568: Listen to Our Story

Donation protected

Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Supporters,

We are reaching out today with an urgent plea — one that is incredibly close to our hearts. As some of you may know, VFW Post 8568 in Livingston, Texas, is at risk of losing the building that has been the cornerstone of our community and a place of refuge for our veterans. Due to a legal battle, the court has ordered us to pay $350,000 for this building, and we have a fast-approaching deadline to make it happen.

This building is more than just walls; it’s where veterans gather, share stories, find healing, and continue their service to the community. It’s the place where we honor the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. For years, we’ve provided scholarships for children, helped veterans in need, and hosted countless events that bring us all together.

But now, despite our best efforts, we find ourselves facing an impossible situation. The deadline is February 4, 2025, for us to provide an update on our progress, with the full payment due by March. We’ve exhausted all other options and need your help to meet this deadline.

We ask that you listen to our story, shared in the audio linked here. Hear the journey of how this post has fought through adversity, from legal battles to natural disasters, and how we’re still here, stronger than ever. We are asking for your help — whether it’s through a donation, a grant, or a loan — to ensure that we don’t lose the one place where veterans can come together, heal, and continue their mission.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, gets us closer to saving our home. Your support will allow us to continue our work — providing scholarships for the children of veterans, offering outreach programs, and giving back to those who have given everything.

Please, listen to our story, consider donating, and share this message with others who might be able to help. With your generosity, we can keep this place alive and make sure it remains a beacon of hope for veterans in Livingston and beyond.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, your generosity, and your belief in our mission. Together, we can save VFW Post 8568 and continue the important work that means so much to all of us.
