Help Veteran Carl!

Without telling too much of his story for him, there is an 80 year old army Veteran that is living out of his truck in the Highland Drive Jonesboro Walmart parking lot by the fuel station.

There was a younger Veteran there that helped him get to the VA but while everything is pending, him and his dog are literally living out of his vehicle. My sister and I got him enough non perishable groceries for about a week, dog food, toiletries, jugs of water, and a hot meal for today. If anyone feels led, I know he will greatly appreciate the help as he was speechless and nearly in tears.

We talked for about 30 minutes Friday March 24th. He is on the top of the list for the Veterans Village in Jonesboro but it could still be some weeks before a spot opens up .

Meanwhile he is really not wanting to delay the inevitable with a hotel room situation. He would really like a small bumper pull type RV because it provides long term permanence and he can afford the cheaper living expenses associated with that.

If anyone has one in livable condition, PLEASE let me know! There are hundreds of people that want to help him and we could all pull together. He loves to talk and does not have any family living. If anyone would like to visit with him, it would make his day. Please consider donating to this sweet man who served our country. He does not deserve the cards he’s been dealt.
