Help Vern Navigate Life Without June

It is with a heavy heart that my sister and I share the greatest loss that any child could ever experience: news of the passing of our beloved mother, June Sander, on August 26, 2025. She was the heart of our family, a devoted wife to our dad Vern, and a loving mother to us. Her departure has left Dad heartbroken and financially unprepared for the road ahead.

With Mom and Dad’s sole source of income being the minimal monthly Social Security that they each received, which will now be cut in half, there will be a financial burden for a time while we figure out the next steps.

Dad will now have to navigate this journey without his life partner and bear the burden of ongoing expenses that our mom once managed.

We have set up this fund to ease the immediate financial strain on our dad so that he can focus on healing. All donations will go directly towards memorial services, housing, and household expenses.

Mom touched so many lives with her kindness and love. We want to give her the farewell that she deserves and ensure that Dad is cared for in this period of transition.
