Help Vanessa's family lay her to rest

Donation protected
Our sister, Vanessa Andrea Santos, age twenty-one, was tragically taken from us on January 27th, 2021 in a fatal car crash. We all pray to God, that no one ever must feel this kind of pain, of losing a sibling, a best friend, a daughter, and a sister. Vanessa was the oldest sibling of four. She was always the one looking over us, never let any one of us get hurt. Vanessa is our guardian angel. All she ever did was worry about her family, friends, and pets. She spread love and happiness wherever she was. She was a hard worker, a dedicated student and a best friend. She was full of hope to continue moving forward after graduating this year from Cal State Fullerton. Full of excitement and ambition, ready to take on the world. If she wanted something, she would not stop until she made sure she made it happen. Vanessa was a goofy person but was also one of the shyest. If you had the chance to meet our sister/daughter, you know how amazing she was.

On Wednesday, January 27, around 10am, our beloved Vanessa sustained many injuries during the car accident. On her way home from the Hillcrest staircase with her sister Thania, a driver under the influence hit them in the city of Fullerton. The other driver merged onto their lane coming directly at them at a very high speed. Vanessa took care of her family until the very last moment. With the help from witness, Thania was thankfully able to get out the car with minor injuries, thanks to her guardian angel, and was able to call their mom, Andrea. Many rushed to try to help Vanessa, but she was stuck under the car and the door was jammed so we had to wait for the fire department to saw off her door to get her out. After they got her out and onto a stretcher, Thania never saw her sister again. Vanessa was taken away from us so unexpectedly. No one was prepared for this outcome. Our parents are struggling to grieve for their daughter, and we do not want to take it upon anyone to have to help. We only ask, to take a moment to help our family through these tough times, give our parents a chance to breathe and grieve with their little angel.

She was taken from us too early, but we are staying strong and keeping her alive within us. Her family is trying to help Vanessa rest in peace, anything you have to offer helps in a major way. Thank you for taking your time to read this.
