Help Us Water Our Community Greenhouse

We are 3 local 501c3 charities, Hope Church, Parole2Pride, and Loaves & Fishes, known as Friendly City Gardens, that have converted a barn into a greenhouse to grow vegetables for the soup kitchen and to feed the local community.

We had a succesful first crop in the fall of 2024, but realized we need volume not variety.

During our first season, we used hoses to water every day with volunteers. We now want to run a dedicated water line to the project.

We also need to put a permanent roof on the greenhouse, our plastic sheeting has been damaged through recent bad weather.

We have 28 beds and are in the process of adding 2 more.

16 Beds are in the greenhouse the others are in the former horse paddock.

Our aim is to introduce children to the garden to teach them where their vegetables come from.
