This October, Walk Florrie is bringing people together across Liverpool for a 24 Hour Walkathon in support of men’s mental health.

From 10:30am on Thursday 8 October, Walk Florrie will be walking continuously for 24 hours, with groups leaving The Florrie every four hours. But this year, we are asking people, workplaces, community groups, friends and families across Liverpool to join the effort by taking their own walks and helping raise money for men’s mental health.

Three out of four people who take their own lives are men. Suicide remains the biggest cause of death for men under 50 in England and Wales.

Since 2022, Walk Florrie has been bringing men together through walking, friendship and conversation. The group helps tackle isolation, creates opportunities for people to talk and reminds men that they are #NeverAlone.

This Walkathon is about taking that message further, bringing people together across Liverpool and showing that we all have a part to play in supporting men’s mental health.

Your donation can help make that possible.

£100 can fund four hours of professional therapy.

£50 can help provide walking shoes or boots for someone who might otherwise be unable to take part.

£20 can provide an emergency food package or fuel allowance to someone in need.

Every donation helps provide support, create opportunities to connect and make sure people who are struggling know that they are not alone.

Last year, Walk Florrie walked more than 10,000 miles for men’s wellbeing, taking its message beyond Liverpool through international walks and awareness trips to Vallecas, Spain and Dingle, Ireland.

This year’s theme is “Until You’ve Walked a Mile in Someone’s Shoes”, a sombre reminder that we never truly know what someone else may be going through.

Whether you donate £5, £20 or £100, your support will help Walk Florrie continue its work and help more people across our communities.

Please donate today and help Liverpool walk together for men’s mental health.

Every donation matters. Every conversation matters. Nobody should have to walk alone.
