Hello, my name is Jey — and if you don’t know me yet, I’m a proud mom to my beautiful daughter, Jurnee.

In March 2025, our lives were forever changed. We survived a terrifying, life-threatening situation when Jurnee’s father held us at gunpoint for hours. By the grace of God, we escaped. We’ve been staying with a family member while I worked to rebuild from the ground up — almost everything we owned, including our home, was lost in the process.

Since then, I’ve fought hard to create stability for Jurnee. After months of searching, I secured a job in July, and for the first time in a long time, I felt hope. But recently, we received the news that we have only three months to find a new place to live. My current income covers bills and childcare, but it leaves nothing to save for a move.

I’m choosing to relocate across the country to be near more family, rebuild our support system, and give Jurnee a truly fresh start away from the trauma we’ve endured.
