Help us to support Ray’s family

We never imagined the following would happen we are setting up this page in aid of Ray Shannon of Glenpipe/ Arthurstown.

Ray's journey began with a change in a mole on his back in 2023 he underwent surgery to have this removed and we all hoped that this would be the end of his Battle.

Unfortunately he was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma an aggressive and potentially life threatening form of cancer.

At every stage of his journey he has been faced with more hurdles to overcome from more surgery to immunotherapy , chemotherapy and radiotherapy. We have recently been told that the cancer has spread to other areas of the body and it is now terminal. We were exploring the idea of clinical trials to help battle this disease, but unfortunately they are no longer an option. As a result of this Ray is unfortunately unable to continue working and Sophia his wife must help care for Ray.

As he was self-employed we are hoping to raise funds to help him and his family ease the financial pressures they are facing. Your generosity with these funds will also help support their three amazing children 16, 12 and 7 through this incredibly difficult time and more importantly show Ray that he is not alone in this fight.
