Hey y'all. My name is Michelle (on the left) and the wonderful woman to my right is wife of 4 years, Davy.
Two weeks ago, she gave birth to our beautiful daughter Mazzy Eleanor. Even though we are both married, and I am on the birth certificate, because we live in Texas, I don't have any legal rights to her. As a result, I must go through a second parent adoption in order to legally be considered her parent. We have endured so much in order to create our family, and we want to make sure that my rights are rock solid. The money that we are hoping to raise will cover our attorney fees and our home study. Once we receive the money, we will be able to put down the retainer fee and can begin the adoption process.
We are not usually ones to ask for help, but with all of the money that we have spent over the last 4 years trying to conceive her, unfortunately our savings are rather low. We are so grateful for everyone that has shown us endless support on our journey to motherhood. It definitely hasn't been an easy journey, but it has been worth every tear, every penny, and every sleepless night. We are so relieved that this is the last step that we need in order for our little family to be complete.
