Oh we are SO READY!

Help us to reopen the UK’s first high street recycling hub - in our new location!

9 months ago we were given the keys to our very own space here in Merseyway Shopping centre in Stockport - we've got a space all to ourselves, the chaos we can cause!

"9 months you've had the keys, why no open?" you ask?

Well....we have been busy bees working on multiple projects - from the world's first recycled plastic bottle lid mural trail across Stockport, to murals across the UK. As well as winning funding bids to buy new machinery, working with hundreds of children, doing 9000 business meetings internally ,whilst also trying to breathe...it's been BUSY.

Whilst doing these we have slowly been renovating - readying the space to welcome people in for workshops and drop ins, open days, volunteering, as well as finally being able to open our own recycled plastic product shop!

We have received the most AMAZING support already - WOW!
From business such as Wickes who have provided all the materials needed to decorate Plastic Shed into our creative and playful dream - think orange, think colour, think bottle lids!

Our wonderful family, friends, The Good Gym, and Manchester airport who have volunteered their time to help us decorate. We are beyond grateful for the help we have received.

We are so close to being able to open but we need your help with this next part.

There are parts of the renovation that require paid professionals to make sure the space is safe and functional for visitors - you know, the boring bits. This includes the costs to pay for an electrician, a plasterer, and a plumber. All essential to make sure our space is accessible and safe before opening up to the public.

Plastering:
We have a wall, we have lovingly names 'The Cracken', which is in desperate need of fixing to make sure our kitchen and bathroom areas are fully safe. For now, we have had to cordon off an entire area of upstairs for safety - not ideal.

Electrician:
This new wonderful shop floor comes with 2 plugs....yes, only 2. Uhhh. We need to run all of our 7 machines during open community days and workshops and for this we need more plugs installed across the shop floor.

Plumber:
One of our toilets isn’t working and requires fixing to allow both bathrooms to be accessible. Meaning that during our weekly volunteer sessions, workshops and community days we can eliminate the queue and allow more toilet accessibility. - no lines here people!

Washing Machine:
We have HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of lids that have come in dirty - don't get us wrong we love every donation, but these ones need a bath first. Putting them in the washing machine is by far the best way to do this, and Caitlin's been officially banned from doing it at home....sooooo...we need are own.
Help us clean 500,000 plastic lids and get them on an art piece!

Raising this money would mean the absolute world to us, to plastic recycling, and to the world! Seriously, ask the turtles - they're buzzing.

But seriously... it would mean so much to us, meaning we can finally open our new space, take a huge step forward into our business and bring our growing community into our world for the very first time!

Any donation is welcome, small or large! Every little help will allow us to open the new location of the UK’s first high street recycling hub!

P.S. any funds leftover if we go over the needed amount (us girls can dream), will go towards free public workshops for our community to get creating together!
Want to make your own recycled plastic products anyone??

XOXO
