St Mary’s church bell ringers are reaching out to to our community and beyond to ask for your support. The bell ropes at St. Mary’s church, Chilham are in urgent need of replacement.

These ropes have served us faithfully for many years, but time and wear have taken their toll.

Our bells have rung out across Chilham for

centuries - marking weddings, celebrations,

and times of remembrance.

they are an important part of our village’s

history and identity.

Without new ropes, these beloved bells will

soon fall silent.

We have set up a Gofundme page to help raise the necessary funds for this vital restoration. Every donation big or small will go directly towards the purchase and installation of new ropes, ensuring that the sound of our bells continue to ring out for future generations.
