Help us to Keep BC10 running

Hello all!

Let us first introduce ourselves- we are the Massachusetts Pink Patch Project. We represent Massachusetts law enforcement agencies who participate in the country wide program that was started in California, called the Pink Patch Project.

The Massachusetts Pink Patch Project was started back in 2017, headed up by Trooper Dustin Fitch of the Massachusetts State Police. A familiar face and a cancer survivor himself, the Massachusetts Pink Patch Project was and will always be near and dear to his heart.

Trooper Fitch retired back in 2021 and wanted to see his vision continue so he handed the reigns over to Officer Domenic Montano. Officer Montano, whose grandmother passed from Breast Cancer in 2019, was honored and vowed to continue the mission.

In 2021, with donations, Officer Montano purchased a former campus police vehicle and with the help of donors such as Steven's Autobody of Melrose, Sachem Signworks of Saugus, North East Radio of Woburn, JPerry Lighting of Fall River, Coach and Carriage Autobody of Natick and Gaetas Towing of Peabody - the Massachusetts Pink Patch Project "Cruiser" was born

The Massachusetts Pink Patch Project board has now grown including Officer Matthew Donahue and Lt. Jameson Yee who are instrumental in raising awareness for Breast Cancer research, making it a team effort.

This vehicle represents not only all of the agencies in Massachusetts that participate in the Pink Patch Project but also symbolizes a beacon of hope for those who are dealing with Breast Cancer and those who are survivors. In fact, the vehicle affectionately bears the name, Megan Tierney, now a Sergeant for Newburyport PD, whom was faced with Breast Cancer herself but through the strength of herself and others, she conquered Cancer and proved if you want something bad enough you must fight for it.

Which brings us to the reason for this fundraiser. We now need your help. Our vehicle is in need of repair and we no longer have enough funds to repair said issues. We are asking you to consider a donation in any amount to help us get our mission vehicle, our pride and joy back to a fully operational status.

This vehicle travels all over the state and will go anywhere it's asked so as you can imagine with rising gas prices, we have nearly depleted our fund account.

Our goal is $5000 and we hope to raise that to afford the repairs as well as pay for fuel and general maintenance of the vehicle.
