Escribo esto desde el fondo de mi corazón y con profundo dolor, pero sabiendo que esta es la decisión correcta.

Vine a este país hace 22 años, huyendo de la violencia en mi país (sufrí un secuestro que cambió totalmente mi perspectiva de vida). Aquí la vida nunca fue fácil, pero salí adelante, tratando de seguir las reglas de este país (trabajando, pagando impuestos, etc.).

Hace 8 años conocí a Josh, una persona que siempre me ha estado apoyándome incondicionalmente desde el primer día. Estamos casados desde hace 8 años y también iniciamos un caso de ajuste de estado. Lamentablemente, los tiempos de espera son ridículos y para finalizar mi proceso tendría que esperar 3 a 4 años más. Esto lo menciono porque siempre dicen: “Ven de l amanera correcta” y la verdad es que no hay una manera correcta.

Yo creo con todo mi ser que todas las personas merecemos vivir una vida digna, sin miedo y sin persecución. Así que hemos decidido que la mejor opción para nuestra familia es regresar a mi país y vivir una vida digna y, sobre todo, libres.

Quien me conoce sabe que esta vida de miedo no es para mí y que me está matando, no literalmente, pero sí mentalmente.

Por esta razón, les pedimos desde el fondo de nuestros corazones que nos ayuden a construir y empezar una nueva vida. Cualquier donación nos ayudará en lo que nos establecemos y comenzamos a producir, trabajar, encontrar casa, etc.

I write this from the bottom of my heart and with great pain but knowing that this is the right decision.

I came to this country 22 years ago, fleeing violence in my country (I survived a kidnapping that completely changed my outlook on life). Life here has never been easy, but I have pushed forward, trying to follow the rules of this country (working, paying taxes, etc.).

Eight years ago, I met Josh, a person who has always supported me unconditionally from day one. We have been married for eight years and have also started the process of adjusting my status. Unfortunately, the waiting times are ridiculous, and to complete my process, I would have to wait another 3 to 4 years. I mention this because they always say, “Come the right way,” and the truth is that there is no right way.

I believe with all my heart that everyone deserves to live a dignified life, without fear and without persecution. Therefore, we have decided that the best option for our family is to return to my country and live a life of dignity and, above all, freedom.

Anyone who knows me knows that this life of fear is not for me and that it is killing me, not literally, but mentally.

This is why we ask you from the bottom of our hearts to help us build and start a new life. Any donation will help us get settled and start producing, working, finding a home, etc.
