On 12/5/2025, what was supposed to be my 2nd year of year-end performance review, which I had high confidence of receiving positive feedback, took an unexpected turn.

Without any warnings, I got laid off right on the spot due to company restructuring. With my firstborn coming in a month, this is without a doubt a very stressful event to handle.

I honestly felt so blindsided by this decision. Prior to this, I received nothing but positive comments from my management and coworkers.

I never wanted to come on the internet and ask for financial help, but at this point, I gotta do what I have to do.

Any amount would help with easing our burden and stress.

I'm also applying for any assistance I can from the government.
