Hi my Name is Alyssa and I'm fundraising for myself and my family. I'm not one to ask for help but this year has already given me more challenges than I can handle.

 

On the 6th or January my father passed away from pulmonary fibrosis, he was 69 years young. He has been struggling with it for years. I was fortunate enough to be with him and my tight knit family for the last week of his life. Watching him deteriorate, the stress it put on his partner of 43 years (my mother) and fear of bills not getting paid from the missing work is weighing on me. I want to be able to help my family more and wish I was was in a better position in life to do so.

 

Three months prior to this I found out that I was pregnant! It was something I had wanted for my future. At that time I was hoping my father with get to meet my first child but that was not the plan life had for our family. With the hormones and exhaustion of pregnancy, the emotional stress of grieving a parent, and finding the money for all a child needs plus loans for a safe vehicle I feel very defeated.

To say the least, work has become difficult. I do currently work full time and also just got a part time job. I'm doing my best to work with my partner to turn things around and be able to have a life worth living through hardships and the endless pandemic. 

 

I realize all these things are our responsibility but sometimes life just comes at you sideways. We will take anything you can spare even advice to fine other resources in the area.
