In Colombia, thousands of mothers face the challenge of bringing life into the world while battling poverty and hardship. For countless women, the joy of motherhood is overshadowed by the stress of meeting their baby’s most basic needs and the lack of resources to limited access to basic health and childcare.

Why This Matters:

Over 13% of households led by women in Colombia live in multidimensional poverty, with rural rates exceeding 27%. These mothers struggle to provide essentials like diapers, clothing, and basic hygiene items for their newborns.

Young mothers are particularly vulnerable. In 2022 alone, over 6,000 girls between the ages of 10 and 14 gave birth, many without the resources, support, or guidance they need.

Many mothers face not only economic hardships but also gender-based violence, with over 25,000 cases reported during pregnancy in the last few years.

Our Mission:

We believe every mother deserves to care for her baby with dignity and love. That’s why, we are working to provide essential “baby kits” filled with diapers, clothing, hygiene products, and more to mothers in the most vulnerable situations.

With your help, we aim to raise $2000 to assemble and distribute these baby kits to Colombian mothers in need. We think of these kits as more than just supplies—they are a lifeline of hope, and while these may not completely change their lives, perhaps can ease their vulnerability in some way and allow them to enjoy the wonderful adventure of motherhood.

Every donation, big or small, goes directly to purchasing baby kits and delivering them to mothers in need.
