Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
Life has a way of turning our brightest moments into our hardest battles, and today, we come to you with heavy hearts, asking for your help in supporting a man who has dedicated his life to others.
Gordon "Bobby" Marsh is a beloved professor at Pensacola State College, a pillar of the Pensacola and Molino communities, and, above all, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. For over 20 years, Bobby has been the kind of man who gives without hesitation—whether it was guiding his students toward brighter futures, lending a helping hand to neighbors in need, or ensuring that his family was always taken care of. He has spent a lifetime working hard to provide for his loved ones, never asking for anything in return. But now, we must rally around him in the way he has always done for others.
This past year, Bobby has been in the fight of his life, battling pancreatic cancer with unwavering strength and courage. He endured grueling rounds of chemotherapy, clung to hope, and held onto the promise of a future free from this disease. His family, his rock, stood by his side through every treatment, every difficult day, and every moment of exhaustion. They believed they were on the brink of victory—until everything changed in an instant.
What was supposed to be a day of celebration, the day doctors would remove the last traces of cancer from his pancreas, turned into a nightmare. As Bobby lay on the operating table, the surgeons discovered that the cancer had silently spread to his liver. The unthinkable words followed: There is nothing more we can do.
In a single moment, hope turned into heartbreak. Bobby has now been given less than a year to live.
As devastating as this news is, Bobby’s greatest concern isn’t for himself—it’s for his family. He has always been the provider, the protector, the foundation of their world. Now, with medical bills piling up and expenses becoming overwhelming, the financial burden is adding unimaginable stress to an already unbearable situation.
That’s where we come in.
We want to give Bobby the peace of mind to know that his family will be okay. We want to take the weight of bills and debt off his shoulders so that his final days can be spent
surrounded by love, not worry. We want to give him the chance to create lasting memories with his family—to soak in the laughter of his grandchildren, to hold his wife close without the fear of what comes next, and to leave this world knowing that his family will not struggle in his absence.
If you can donate, please do. No amount is too small—every dollar will go toward medical expenses, household costs, and securing the future of the family he has fought so hard for. If you are unable to contribute financially, please share this with as many people as possible. Sometimes, kindness travels further than we can ever imagine.
Bobby has spent his life lifting others up—let’s lift him up now. Let’s give him the gift of time without worry, love without limits, and a community that stands with him until the very end.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
