Ali was a healthy, happy little girl until everything changed in an instant. What started as the flu quickly turned into rhabdomyolysis and sudden cardiac arrest. After 18 minutes without oxygen, Ali was placed on ECMO to save her life. She survived but not without devastating consequences.

The lack of oxygen caused a severe anoxic brain injury, leaving Ali with spastic quadriplegia, inability to speak, and the need for a feeding tube. Overnight, our world changed forever. Ali is here because she fought but survival came at a heartbreaking cost.
