Like many business owners who have been temporarily shut down, I am trying to utilize my time and resources to do something productive for the community. It took just one message from a friend in the Sheriff's department to take me down this road. We want to help!
The shelves are currently empty of all hand sanitizing products, at least 99.9% of the time! It is obvious that the public wants it, but what about those who really need it? What about those people who are out there right now, who don't have the opportunity to wash their hands after every circumstance that may require doing so? I'm referring to our city personnel including delivery persons, first responders and law enforcement agencies. They need it! After word got around that my brother Tim and I made a hundred bottles for the Sheriff's department, more and more businesses began reaching out. Thousands more are needed for various law enforcement and city agencies.
I am trying to raise funds to supply the needs of these agencies. It would be amazing to be able to put a bottle into every squad car, fire truck, ambulance and mail truck in the city. This may be unrealistic but I will surely try. These unsung heroes have to continually be on the front lines, dealing with hundreds of people, up close and personal, on a daily basis, no matter the current crisis. The money raised here will help give us a head start on supplies needed to meet a portion of the current demand.
If we can reach this $5000.00 goal, it would allow us to make a few thousand bottles of hand sanitizer to distribute to these organizations within our community.
If we can exceed this goal, production will continue for as long as we are able to.
As a community, Milwaukee can help keep these people safe and as healthy as possible.
Remember, WE is greater than ME.
