Hello beautiful friends and family,
It has taken a lot for us to get to this point of asking for help, but now with a little one on the way, due April 2026, we put our pride aside and ask for any financial support we can receive to secure a future for our family to stay together in the UK. We have been doing everything that we can to cover our visa path by ourselves, but the costs are stacking up faster than what we can keep up.
There has already been so much we have worked through to get to this point of seeing the finish line in sight, having to meet many requirements, that have required and continue to require a lot of sacrifice and effort on our side. Already we are so grateful for the friends and family that have supported us in the most kindest of ways. Many things have been falling into place, but the last push is the spouse visa application itself, which costs more than what we can afford.
Spouse Visa requirements require for the sponsor, in this case me, Savanna Teubes to be employed by a job for more than 6 months and earning more than 29000 pounds per a year. All the while whilst proving the sponsor pays all the bills eg. rent, water & elec, council tax etc. I have had the unconditional support of my husband, Guilherme, yet he is not allowed to work or live in the UK until a spouse visa is approved. We have been working hard to achieve all the requirements that we can. With the very exciting news of us expecting a baby in April 2026, it means that I will be having to go on Maternity leave soon, all whilst covering living expenses and visa/ lawyer prices. We are unable to use the little savings that we do have due to having to have the same amount of money sit in my account for more than 6 months.
We are now staring down visa deadlines with no financial breathing room, all the while of trying to prepare for our little one and support ourselves in our day to day living. The financial, mental and emotional stress weighs heavy, but we continue to hold our heads high as the love we share and life we wish to continue to build together is so much bigger and brighter than this moment that we believe will pass.
We have done our calculations and any support will go straight towards:
*Visa and legal fees
*Immigration lawyer etc..
*Required documents and consultations costs
*Intercontinental flights due to the application having to be made in Brazil.
We couldn't have gotten this far, already, without all your encouraging words and support- we love our life and community that we are building here in Scotland and can't wait to give back all the good that has been shared with us, once we pass through this hurdle. If you can contribute in any way, whether a small donation or a share, it would mean the world to us.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and for helping us move forward.
