Hello friends and family,
Before I dive into the purpose of this fundraiser, I’d like to share our backstory. On March 1, 2021, Ginger and I purchased a home, beginning a new chapter in our lives. At the time, we were financially stable and had carefully considered several factors, especially long-term financial security.
In May 2021, Walgreens eliminated the Assistant Store Manager position chain-wide, resulting in a significant loss of income. Had we known this change was coming, we would not have purchased the home. After working closely with our mortgage company and the Veterans Administration, we’ve accepted that we will need to sell the house and move into a rental property.
We’re reaching out during this difficult time. Due to the rising cost of our mortgage, we must transition to more affordable housing to keep our family stable. Unfortunately, this transition has brought unexpected expenses that we’re unable to cover on our own. Once we get through these initial costs, Ginger and I will be able to sustain ourselves financially moving forward.
We need help with:
- Moving Company $600
- Security deposit $1500
- Cost of storage for 3 months $300
- Misc Moving Expenses $200
