Hi, my name is Bumba Hamimu, and I serve at House Of Kibumba Foundation,a community-based orphanage and children’s outreach in Uganda. Every day, we care for vulnerable children—offering shelter, love, education, and hope for a better future. But sustaining their daily food needs has become increasingly difficult.

That’s why we’re launching a Layers Chicken Farm Project—a sustainable solution that will provide daily eggs, long-term food security, and even income for the orphanage. We are currently having broiler chicken but on a very small scale and not that profitable.

Why Chickens?

A layers chicken farm will produce hundreds of eggs weekly—improving the nutrition of our children.

We will sell surplus eggs locally to generate income for food, school fees, and medical care.

This project will also provide practical agricultural skills to the older children, empowering them with hands-on experience.

What We Need

We are seeking $6000 to get started. Your donation will help us:

Build a simple chicken shelter

Buy at least 500 layer chicks

Purchase feeds, vaccines & water systems

Train our caregivers in poultry management

Every dollar brings us closer to our goal—and closer to independence.
