Help us and our baby to live agood life

Hello everyone,

On June 16th, our child finally came into the world, healthy and safe. We named him Karam, which means generosity, to thank all the people who helped us evacuate to Egypt, where Sujood could give birth in a good hospital, far away from the bombs. Thank you so much to those who donated and made it possible for us to buy clothes, milk, and diapers. We keep every single person who helped us in our hearts and prayers; we will never forget it.

Please, don't stop supporting our little family! Baby Karam deserves a full, happy life, and he still needs a lot of things that, unfortunately, we can't afford in this difficult moment. Again, thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts to all of you.

I am Ahmed Selmi from Gaza. I am 25 years old. I used to work as an accountant in a bank. I had my own home and my own business. I worked day and night so that I could have a family and establish my own independent home.

‎‏ On 26.08.2023, it was my wedding day, and it was a very happy day. I was very happy that I would fulfill my dream of starting a family full of joy and happiness, but all of this quickly turned into an unattainable dream. On 07.10.2023, the war broke out in Gaza, and my wife and I were unable to achieve it, Of building a family as we dreamed. We thought every day about the day our first child would come, the day our little one would come to illuminate our lives and brighten our days.

We were waiting with great passion and longing for us to prepare his private room and buy all his supplies, but this quickly turned into a difficult dream, a dream that looms from afar and we cannot reach it.

Since the beginning of the war started our displacement and migration more than 7 times from a place to another, between northern, middle and southern Gaza. During that، arrived the news that our house had been completely destroyed, and we had nothing left to live for.

My wife’s birth was approaching, and we had not made any arrangements to receive our child, and we did not know what to do. We couldnt find anything to buy for our child and there was a lack of hospital services for childbirth in Gaza.

Then My wife and I decided to travel to Egypt. We spent all our savings and possessions for the journey. Upon our arrival in Egypt, the financial burdens increased, including rent, furniture, hospital costs, food, medicine, transportation, and other living necessities. We found that many Gazan families we met are struggling with the cost of living in Egypt, and many of them have run out of money or possessions. For this reason, we decided to start a fundraising campaign to help these people and ourselves meet the basic needs of life. Be a support to everyone in their difficult time, and thank you to everyone who contributes, even if it is a little.

The funds will be spend on:

Baby needs : 300$ monthly

Rent : 300 to 500$ monthly

Furniture: 1500$

Hospital: 500$

Food: 400$ monthly

first preparation for the baby : 500$ ( Bed _ clothes _ Kids wagen _ wardrobe )
