Help us shine light on a cloudy day

Hey everyone,

If you are reading this , you are either friends or family related to us. This is not being recirculated online or on social media.

Nobody ever likes to be in a situation to ask others for help, but for this my friend Shane and I both agreed it was absolutely necessary.

Last weekend Shane and I went to a very close friend of our mothers house to see what had unfolded in her home the previous month.

She had a pin hole leak in her water heater , and that had been ongoing for over a couple of years. It was tucked behind the water heater, and super difficult to dectect until recently. When it was discovered, it was beyond a minor fix. She had to call a remediation company to come in and remove all the mold, and completely open the ceiling, floorboards, drywall, move all appliances, and dispose of the water heater.

She is faced with the task of completely rebuilding her kitchen, laundry room, and patching the flooring one at a time by herself.

I wasn’t called to fix anything, but to review the areas that were removed , and possibly look at costs for future repairs.

Shane and I brought materials, and tools from our jobs to at least fix the floor which was step one. We patched a portion of the kitchen.

We have setup a GoFund me to ask for the necessary means to purchase materials for the drywall patching, taping, and painting the areas that were affected. She will also need a new water heater.

We will perform all the labor free of charge as this is a close family friend of ours , and we don’t want to have more time pass without her having a kitchen, laundry room, or hot showers.

So if you trust Shane and I to honor what we are trying to do… honor us by chipping in to help someone see beyond these dark days she has been experiencing. Nobody should ever feel alone in hard times, as there are always others to help.
