Tonight, somewhere in our community, a child will go to sleep without knowing where they’ll wake up tomorrow. For years,
V-Crown Family and Youth Services has been serving families, children, and individuals facing homelessness, hunger, and crisis. Today, we’re asking our community to help us continue that mission by providing emergency housing, food, clothing, and hope to families who have nowhere else to turn.
Imagine being a parent and not knowing where your child will sleep tonight. Imagine having to choose between buying food or paying for a hotel room. Sadly, this is the reality for many families we meet. My name is Shakima Viera, and I am the Founder and Executive Director of V-Crown Family and Youth Services, a nonprofit organization that has been serving communities since 2006. For nearly two decades, V-Crown has helped families and youth through food distributions, community outreach, anti-violence events, youth programs, emergency assistance, holiday events, mentoring, and support during life’s most difficult moments. We have often stepped in when families had nowhere else to turn. Today, the need is greater than ever. Your donation will help V-Crown provide emergency assistance such as: • Temporary shelter and hotel stays • Food and groceries • Clothing and hygiene items • Transportation assistance • Support for families facing homelessness or crisis • Youth and family programs that strengthen our communities No gift is too small. A $10 donation can help provide a meal. A $25 donation can help with emergency necessities. A larger gift can help keep a family safe while they work toward stability.
