My family and I have been facing homelessness since June 2025. For a while, we were able to stay in Shell Knob, and I worked at a bar under a difficult manager just to get by. After a month, I couldn’t take the disrespect any longer and left, even though I’m someone who can usually put up with a lot. Thankfully, I was able to return to my old Amazon job with a flexible schedule, but that brought its own challenges. With a three-year-old son, Donovan, and no one we can trust to watch him, it’s been nearly impossible to work enough hours to get ahead. Even family members haven’t been able to help, and my fiancé has faced his own struggles, losing both his children and much of his income after a difficult custody battle. Since September 2025, we’ve been living apart, doing everything we can to survive and keep our son safe.

This past Christmas, we were gifted an acre of land—a glimmer of hope for our future. Now, we have the chance to purchase a motorhome that would finally give us a safe, stable place to live together as a family. We’ve tried every option to get a loan or save up, but with our small monthly bills and the high cost of motels, it’s just not possible. Everything we own is in storage, and we’re even considering selling our only reliable vehicle just to make this happen. With your help, we can buy the motorhome, cover moving costs, and make it legal and safe for our family. This would mean Donovan always has a roof over his head, and we can start building a better life together.
