Help Us Say Goodbye to Mom, Lydia Salgado

Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is Alisha.

I've never done this before, and unfortunately, I even hate that I am doing this, especially at eight months pregnant while already dealing with one death in our family, and here comes another. Both gone way too soon! This past weekend, while tragically dealing with my little brother's murder, three days later, my mother ended up passing also. My mother has 10 kids, one who is deceased, so she is survived by 9 of us. Unfortunately, a lot of my older siblings live very alternative lifestyles, so they are unreachable/unable to help in any way. There are about 3 or 4 of us that are even able to help to put our mother to rest so unexpectedly at that. With all that being said, for how expensive everything is, we are still struggling to come up with everything needed for a service/cremation.

We want to give a chance to all of our estranged family members to be able to come and see/say their goodbyes to our mother. That being said, the more we want to be able to do, the higher the costs rise. We can hopefully ALL come together for this tragic event; it's what my mother would've wanted at the end of the day, so I'm going to try to make that happen for her!

Her name is Lydia Salgado. She had a long life ahead of her, only in her late 50s, unfortunately with a lot of health issues. We've yet to find out what was the cause of her untimely death. Regardless, she was still a good woman. She had her own life and was filled with love that she wanted to give. She had a tough childhood growing up herself, and it followed her throughout her life. Everyone has their own problems and demons they were fighting against every day, and she felt like she was alone most of the time except for her partner Bo and her best friend Sonia. I'm very thankful for them.

She gave birth to 10 beautiful children, 2 girls and 8 boys. She gave us all life, and we appreciate that. We wouldn't have the lives we have without her, so she deserves to be sent off to heaven in the best possible fashion we can provide. I want her to know that despite everything, all the ups and downs, all the highs and lows, THAT SHE WAS LOVED AND SHE WAS NEVER ALONE. My beautiful mother. You were a warrior, a fighter, a strong woman for the things you've endured in your lifetime. We all love you.

I'm not asking for a bunch of donations or top-dollar donations. I'm just asking for anything you can send to help us out. Whether that's a dollar or five dollars, a thoughtful prayer, even a share so that we can reach as many people as possible. We, her few children, appreciate anything and everything. God bless you all. Thank you!
