As some of you may already know me and my girlfriend were expecting two beautiful twin girls that were set to come some time this summer. The both of us were beyond excited to add new members to our families and we did the best to prepare for their arrival. My girlfriend worked her nursing job until she couldn’t, I am working and studying full time, and together we completely renovated a home for our new family. It wasn’t easy especially considering the fact she experienced serious maternal complications at 20 weeks pregnant.

Our new little family got through that tough time and continued to put our best efforts into the pregnancy. We started looking ahead and it was during this time that we named our beautiful daughters. Twin A was named Kaeli Nicole Rosas and twin B was named Cynthia Naomi Rosas.

Unfortunately things changed fast and my girlfriend began experiencing further issues at 30 weeks. We were in and out the hospital for an entire week with no answers, the doctors were just as confused as we were but after some monitoring we were sent home on Wednesday, May 29th. 

On my birthday, Friday, May 31, 2024 things got worse and we went into the hospital once again. Immediately we sensed something was not right and our worst fears were confirmed when the doctor told us that twin A, Kaeli Nicole Rosas had no heart beat, and that we had lost her in the womb. Losing Kaeli meant that her sister Cynthia was at risk so the doctors immediately performed an emergency c section.

On May 31, 2024 at 4:35 P.M. Kaeli Nicole Rosas was born still and her twin sister Cynthia Naomi Rosas was born at 4:36 P.M.

Despite our best efforts our baby girl Kaeli was taken away from us for reasons we are still struggling to understand and although we are happy to finally be with her sister Cynthia we can not help but also feel sad, empty, confused, and lost. Currently Cynthia is in the NICU continuing to grow and bring joy into our lives while my girlfriend recovers from her surgery. So it is with heavy hearts we ask the community, our friends and family to support us during this very tough time by helping us put Kaeli to rest in the most beautiful way. Your contributions will help pay for Kaeli’s funeral and burial arrangements, medical bills for both girls, along with other associated expenses. Anything is appreciated and your prayers mean just as much as your contributions.

We are currently making arrangements to lay Kaeli to rest and will have updates for friends and family who are interested in paying their respects.

Como algunos de ustedes ya sabrán, mi novia y yo esperábamos dos hermosas gemelas que iban a venir en algún momento este verano. Los dos estábamos más que emocionados de agregar nuevos miembros a nuestras familias e hicimos todo lo posible para prepararnos para su llegada. Mi novia trabajó en su trabajo de enfermería hasta que no pudo, estoy trabajando y estudiando  tiempo completo, y juntos renovamos completamente una casa para nuestra nueva familia. No fue fácil, especialmente teniendo en cuenta el hecho de que experimentó graves complicaciones maternas a las 20 semanas de embarazo. Nuestra nueva pequeña familia pasó por ese momento difícil y continuó poniendo nuestros mejores esfuerzos en el embarazo. Empezamos a mirar hacia adelante y fue durante este tiempo cuando nombramos a nuestras hermosas hijas. La gemela A se llamaba Kaeli Nicole Rosas y la gemela B se llama Cynthia Naomi Rosas. Desafortunadamente, las cosas cambiaron rápidamente y mi novia comenzó a experimentar más problemas a las 30 semanas. Estuvimos dentro y fuera del hospital durante toda una semana sin respuestas, los médicos estaban tan confundidos como nosotros, pero después de un poco de monitoreo nos enviaron a casa el miércoles 29 de mayo. En mi cumpleaños, el viernes 31 de mayo de 2024, las cosas empeoraron y fuimos al hospital una vez más. Inmediatamente sentimos que algo no estaba bien y nuestros peores temores se confirmaron cuando el médico nos dijo que la gemela A, Kaeli Nicole Rosas, no tenía latidos del corazón, y que la habíamos perdido en el útero. Perder a Kaeli significó que su hermana Cynthia estaba en riesgo, por lo que los médicos realizaron inmediatamente una sección c de emergencia. El 31 de mayo de 2024 a las 4:35 p.m. Kaeli Nicole Rosas nació mortinato y su hermana gemela Cynthia Naomi Rosas nació a las 4:36 p.m. A pesar de nuestros mejores esfuerzos, nuestra niña Kaeli nos fue quitada por razones que todavía estamos luchando por entender y, aunque estamos felices de estar finalmente con su hermana Cynthia, no podemos evitar, sino que también nos sentimos tristes, vacios, confundidos y perdidos.  Cynthia está en el NICU y sigue creciendo y trayendo alegría a nuestras vidas mientras mi novia se recupera de su cirugía. Así que es con gran pesar que pedimos a la comunidad, a nuestros amigos y familiares que nos apoyen durante este momento tan difícil ayudándonos a poner a Kaeli a descansar de la manera más hermosa. Sus contribuciones ayudarán a pagar el funeral y los arreglos de entierro de Kaeli, las facturas médicas de las niñas, junto con otros gastos asociados. Cualquier cosa es apreciada y tus oraciones significan tanto como tus contribuciones.
