Keep SLO Weird- Help Save the Establishment!

The Establishment is a nineteen-person intentional community in downtown San Luis Obispo, California. Since the 1970s, the big green house has been the epicenter of San Luis Obispo's counter-culture, providing affordable, creative, and community-centered housing.

 

After over 40 years under its current ownership, it was recently announced that the Establishment would be sold. There is a group of former housemates and closely allied community members forming an LLC to purchase the house. This group strives to preserve the community and prioritize the needs of the community over the bottom line. But there are initial costs to moving forward, and we need your help.
