Jack is 8 years old and truly the sweetest boy in the world. We’ve had him since he was just a few months old, and in that time he’s grown into the most bold, friendly, and loving cat you could imagine. He’s been an incredible emotional support animal and a wonderful brother — always there with a purr, a headbutt, or a cuddle when you need it most.
Over the past month, though, he’s started eating less and less until it became clear that something was seriously wrong.
The vet found out he’s anemic and underweight, and there’s a chance he may have heart disease causing it. He’s currently on steroids to help keep him stable, but they also come with a big risk of heart failure — which makes seeing a cardiologist even more urgent.
Jack needs more testing, treatment, and possibly blood transfusions to have a real chance at recovery. The costs are overwhelming, and we just can’t do it on our own. He means everything to us, and I just want to give him the chance to get better.
Any amount helps — even just sharing this. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about Jack and for caring.
