UPDATE - LAST PHASE (May 2026)

They still need a little less than $10,000 to finalize the purchase of their house—a place where we’ve all shared wonderful moments with them.

UPDATE - SECOND PHASE (August 2024)

Last year, we've raised 15000€ and reached our first milestone: to secure the house for 1 year.

Now, we need 15000€ more to secure the house forever.

The situation is still critical as the family needs to pay another 15000€ in 3 settlements of 5000€ (1 in 2024, 1 in 2025 and 1 in 2026).

Our strategy is to raise the remaining 15000€ as soon as possible to release the family from the pressure of being homeless.

Family-wise, last year was tough with the death of grandpa Indra and Rupa's multiple hospitalizations to give birth to Prince Junior. It lead to a lot of stress and extra expenses for the family.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE

Namaste brothers and sisters :)

We are a group of volunteers from all over the world organizing this fundraising to help our nepali family buy the house they are currently living in. This is urgent and we only have 6 weeks to do so.

The family has been living in Faskot all their lives (Indra, the 93yo grandfather, his son Durba and his wife Sarita, their son Rikesh with his wife Rupa and his brother Anil). It's been more than 1000 years since their family settled in the village. After their family home was destroyed by the 2015 earthquake they've been living at their neighbor's house. However, the owner has asked them to leave the property in 6 weeks as he needs to sell it. With only 6 weeks until the date they need to vacate, they don't have any other option they can move to. Over the last few years, this house has become their home and they really wish to be able to buy it and make their family grow there. The situation is critical especially because Rupa is 5 months pregnant...

The family has received many volunteers from all over the world throughout the years and they would like to continue hosting people and sharing their love. They've always treated everyone like family and, for a lot of volunteers, it was their best experience in Nepal.
