Elections are worth fighting for. Democracy is worth fighting for. None of this is easy. But as a community, we have to take a bold stand against injustice and corruption. We are moving forward!!!
If we can raise enough money in the next 1-2 days, we WILL take legal action to stop these County Chairs from cancelling our County Committee elections in Cape May & Atlantic Counties.
We have an amazing elections lawyer, who feels confident about our case. These chairs need to be held accountable. We need to fight for democracy - we can't just let them start cancelling our elections. Elections are an essential service - and the bedrock of our democracy.
If we can raise the legal fees, we are doing this! If we fall short, everyone's donations will be refunded immediately. A generous donor has already pledged $1,000 for the retainer - we just need to raise the other $3,000 (plus $200 for GoFundMe fees.)
Please donate whatever you can - $10, $50, $100 - every bit helps! If we can pull this off, we can save our elections, and set a precedent that other counties can use to fight for their elections too.
