Help us save our beloved Art Escape Studios

To all the Friends and Family of Art Escape Studios & its leader and founder Melanie:

Our dear friend Melanie has, in the past 4 months, faced some extensive challenges, that have drastically affected her life and in turn our cherished studio.

The financial stress she is going through, due to unexpected expenses, has greatly affected Art Escape Studios and Melanie’s ability to sustain our beloved community. Art Escape Studios is fully funded by Melanie including all free events and opportunities offered through the studio.

Melanie and all of us in the community it has supported over the years, are now facing the devastating reality that Art Escape Studios might have to close, unless we can fund the money needed to support Melanie and her children and in turn the studio, during this difficult time.

This studio has for the past 4 years, functioned as a safe haven and communal neighbourhood for Expats of all nationalities and Danish people alike.

Many people have found support in so many different ways (through art, helpful information, hugs, friends, creativity, collaborations and even love) and more importantly they have found a break from the stress of everyday life, while sharing the joy of creating together.

We have struggled to survive during the pandemic, inflation and other obstacles that small businesses have faced in the last 3 years, and at the heart of this whole operation- keeping it afloat against all odds- is Melanie.

Through it all, she has been a fearless leader and tireless supporter of all the working artists in the studio collective, women in our international community, newbie artists and creatives looking for a place to land, and not to speak of all the regular guests and hundreds of students who have passed through in the last years.

She has given her time over and over again, and often for free, to support and help build up the careers of women in the creative industry in Denmark, including our arts collective and the women of Warrior Women with voluntary work.

Now she is in need of some support in return, to get through this difficult transition in her and her children's life. Every little bit helps, no matter how big or small.
