Our beloved not for profit, secondhand furniture shop has been a beacon of sustainability, offering quality, affordable home furnishings while diverting waste from landfills. At Furniture Reuse, we're more than just a secondhand store, we're a community hub dedicated to sustainability, empowerment, and support. Every week, we provide a free foodbank for the local community, run repair cafés to teach valuable skills, and offer upholstery classes that breathe new life into old furniture. But we can't do it alone.

We have saved households £335,520 in the last year.

Our Challenge

Due to the ongoing challenges that have hit the charity sector over the last few years, we face financial challenges that threaten the continuation of our Maryland, Stratford Showroom. Without immediate assistance, we risk losing a valuable community asset that has served countless individuals and families alike. We are self funded. This however has not stopped us from doing what we love!

Expand Services: Offer more workshops and community events.

Expand our foodbank services: Ensuring those on low income in our community do not go hungry.

Stock up on essential supplies: For our repair cafés and upholstery classes, fostering skill development, assisting in reducing social isolation and reducing waste.

Maintain Operations: Cover the shortfall in rent and utilities.

Enhance Inventory: Increase the range and quality of items available to our customers.

Volunteers: We rely on our amazing volunteers who make it all possible. Ensuring we can provide more volunteer opportunites by subsidising travel and food costs.
