Last night this sweet girl was brought in over night with trauma throughout her body. Her front leg is broken, she has trams to her face, lip and mouth as well as other abrasions. She had to have an out patient surgery to repair her lip and remove broken teeth that are floating around in her mouth. She needs to have major surgery on Monday morning to repair her front leg and oral surgery to fix the broken and damaged teeth that also have exposed nerves. She is in terrible pain but we are keeping her calm and medicated. Her leg is splinted and she can only eat small amounts of wet food because of her mouth trauma.
This will be a long recovery and we are hoping for a foster for her to recover in.
She is the sweetest girl and loves attention. Her original owner recently rehomed her and the new owner doesn’t want her now that she is damaged. Please pray for a speedy recovery and a home with a loving family.
So many of our dogs that are coming in are in need of immediate medical care and our vet bills are extremely high.
Anything you can spare to help cover some of the cost is greatly appreciated.
You can make payments here, in person at the shelter or call us and we can help you make a payment by credit card over the phone [phone redacted].
With many thanks from all of us at the Humane Society of Monroe, MI
