Coquise and Russ' Lil Baby Girl
After being together for 14 years, We have reached the age where most of our family had given up hope on Coquise and myself having any children.
Throughout the years various medical conditions that went undiagnosed silently chipped away at our chances of being able to conceive. After years of searching for a medical team that would listen and treat her increasingly agonizing reproductive pain, lack of energy and the emotional toll that accompanied them, we finally found a Dr that took the time and fast tracked her treatment. After surgery, recovery, and several other conditions finally being addressed, we have been able to conceive our first child. A miracle baby girl is now on the way-that we would never have had if it wasn’t for the care and individual attention of one amazing Dr.
Now that we are on the road to our new family we have another situation we are addressing. With the trauma that has accompanied Coquise’s medical history, the loopholes in vaccination requirements, and since Sacramento has one of the highest cesarean section rates-we have decided to opt out of the traditional hospital setting and use a certified midwife. She comes with medical board certification, emergency supplies, and everything needed to reasonably ensure a successful birth. The (hopefully) final hurdle we are looking at is the financial side of having a baby safely in Sacramento during a global pandemic. Besides billing issues with our insurance providers and the professional midwife, We are estimating that our birth-plan will cost us roughly $8000 out of our pocket. We know that the costs of having our miracle baby will continue, but we are asking for a bit of love from anyone that has just a few dollars to share to help relieve some of the burden. We are hoping that a portion of the energy, love and friendship that we’ve put out into the world can make its way back to us during this joyous and difficult time. If you are financially burdened by covid, we understand completely. Coquise lost her job from the pandemic, and we don’t want to put anyone in a difficult position. We would also greatly appreciate slamming that share button-and helping our story reach a few more people. Thank you, we love you, stay safe-and share the love.
