My name is Patsy Billups, and I am the mother of Laura Smith, who was tragically taken from us on 5/27/2024. It's been over a year since her untimely passing, and our family continued to grapple with the immense pain and loss.

Our Story:

Laura was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. Her children meant the world to her, and she dedicated her life to their happiness and well-being. Since her passing, we've faced additional heartache as we've been denied consistent contact with her children—our cherished grandchildren and nieces.

We believe that maintaining a relationship with us is in the best interest of the children, providing them with stability, love, and a connection to their mother's memory. However, without legal intervention, our efforts to stay involved in their lives have been met with resistance.

Why We Need Your Help:

To advocate for my rights and, more importantly, the well-being of my grandchildren, we are seeking legal assistance to petition the court for visitation rights. Unfortunately, the costs associated with legal representation are beyond our current means.

We are reaching out to our community, friends, and compassionate individuals who understand the importance of family bonds, especially during times of grief and healing.
