My name is Eleazar Asase, the Vision and Operations Lead for Nutata Network — a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to helping young Ghanaians rediscover identity and purpose through storytelling, creativity, and cultural restoration.
We’re building something truly special: two nationwide initiatives that will empower hundreds of students, preserve vanishing folktales, and turn art into a language of healing.
But we can’t do it alone.
What We’re Doing
We’re raising funds for two life-changing projects in Ghana:
1. The Nutifafa Art Competition
Timeline: May–July 2025
A free nationwide art competition for middle school, high school, university, and emerging artists (ages 14–25), built around the theme “Rest Round About” — peace, identity, and healing.
What it offers:
- Free mentorship workshops and art resources
- Cash prizes and professional art exposure
- A digital gallery and final exhibition
- Artwork donated to 6 schools
2. Nutata 2.0 – Nkyinkyim Stories
Timeline: October 2025 – August 2026
A national storytelling and comic art initiative collecting 60 folktales from all 16 regions of Ghana and transforming them into illustrated books for schools and communities.
What it includes:
- Fieldwork in rural communities to document oral stories
- Comic book creation and printing for young readers
- Creative kits delivered to low-resource schools
- A 5-day camp experience for 80 students to explore art, identity, and purpose
Why It Matters
Too many young people in Ghana feel unheard, unseen, and unsure of who they are.
We’re using art to change that — because when youth feel seen, they rise.
And when they rise, they don’t just create art.
They create peace. They create possibility.
This is not just about funding a project.
It’s about investing in voices that the world needs now.
Where the Money Goes
So far we have been able to raise $1000 through the MSU Honors College Giving Back Awards which is still very shy of our total goal.
Total Need: $18,000
Nutifafa Art Competition: $982
- Cash prizes, workshops, web tools, school outreach
Nutata 2.0 – Nkyinkyim Stories: $17,090
- Story collection, illustration, printing, art kits, camp logistics
Even a single contribution makes a lasting difference:
$25 prints 2 comics and provides a full art kit
$50 supports one young artist’s full journey
$100 funds story collection in a rural community
$500 sponsors an entire school’s creative supply drop
$1,000+ helps us publish a full volume of Tales of Purpose
If you’re able to give more, we’ll expand our prize pool and reach more schools.
You Can Be Part of This
If you’ve ever believed in art, in youth, in untold stories — this is your chance to help rewrite what’s possible.
We are already moving. We just need your help to go further.
Please give what you can, and share this with someone who understands that creativity is not just talent — it’s medicine for the soul.
Thank you for helping us build something that lasts.
With gratitude,
Eleazar Asase
