Help Us Restore Our Dad’s Tools After Heart breaking Theft
Donation protected
Dear friends,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your help and support after a devastating incident.
Many of you will know our incredible dad, Mark Hearn. He’s a hard-working, honest man who has spent his life serving our community as a self-employed builder in the Teign Valley. Over the years, he’s built strong, loyal relationships with his customers, many of whom consider him not just a tradesman, but a friend.
Sadly, our dad’s world has been turned upside down as his workshop at the units in Christow has been broken into. He has had thousands of pounds worth of tools stolen that he’s painstakingly collected over the years (including his brand-new saw which he had just managed to save for☹). These tools weren’t just items – they represent years of hard work, sacrifice, and his hope to get back to being self-employed in the Teign Valley. Dad is currently employed in Exeter but his goal was always to rebuild his tool collection so he could return to the work he loves.
As daughters, it breaks our hearts to see our dad, who has given so much of himself to others, so utterly devastated. He’s the last person who deserves something like this to happen to him. He’s never asked for help, and we know he would never want us to do this, but we can’t stand to see him struggle alone.
We are reaching out to you, his friends, his customers, and anyone who has ever experienced his kindness, in the hope that you can help. Whether it’s a small donation or simply sharing this message, every bit will go towards replacing his stolen tools.
We know that times are tough for everyone right now, but if you can spare even a little, it will mean the world to us – and to our dad.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you in advance for any support you can offer. We are so grateful for every ounce of kindness.
With heartfelt thanks,
Mark's daughters.
