On the evening of July 23, 2026, our organization experienced a heartbreaking loss. Our building was broken into, and the fundraising money that had been carefully collected through countless hours of hard work by our staff, volunteers, and community members was stolen.

This wasn't just money—it represented the generosity, dedication, and compassion of our community. Every dollar had been raised through events, donations, and the tireless efforts of people who gave their time and energy to support the programs and services that so many individuals and families rely on.

As a nonprofit organization, every contribution makes a difference. The funds that were stolen were intended to directly support our programs and the people we serve throughout the Slocan Valley. Losing these funds has had a significant impact on our ability to continue providing essential services.
