Our family never imagined we would face something like this, but our lives changed in an instant.
On April 14, 2026, around 9:00 PM, a devastating fire destroyed my parents’ home and everything they worked so hard to build. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely. Living in the home were my parents, my son, and me. My son is autistic and relies heavily on familiar routines and comfort items—everything he depended on was lost in the fire.
He is currently involved in Terrell’s Special Olympics. He’s incredibly social, loves everyone, and is always curious. Right now, I’m struggling with how to explain everything to him, as he keeps asking when we’ll be able to go home.
This fundraiser is especially for my dad, who poured his blood, sweat, and heart into building this home from the ground up. For decades, our family lived in a mobile home before they finally had the means to build a house of their own. That home meant everything to my parents—it represented years of hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance.
My father has always been someone who puts others before himself. He is deeply involved in the community, especially within our Laotian community, and is always willing to help anyone in need. He’s not the type to ask for help, which is why I am reaching out on behalf of our family during this incredibly difficult time.
The fire completely destroyed the home. We lost everything and had to run out with nothing but the clothes on our backs—no shoes, no belongings. My mother’s vehicle and my son’s favorite ATV were also lost in the fire.
We are asking for your support to help our family begin rebuilding. Donations will go toward urgent needs such as:
• Temporary housing
• Clothing and basic necessities
• Food and daily living expenses
• Replacing essential items lost in the fire
Any help, no matter how small, would mean so much to us. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would be deeply appreciated.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
