With deep gratitude, we want to sincerely thank everyone who has donated, shared, prayed, or sent words of encouragement during this incredibly difficult and unexpected moment in our lives.
My fiancé and I were victims of a rental scam and, in good faith, believed we were entering a legitimate lease. We were told a property manager would be onsite within 1–2 business days to guide us through resolving the situation with the company that owns the home. Unfortunately, despite reaching out and maintaining contact with law enforcement from the moment we realized it was a scam, we did not receive the assistance we were promised.
After staying on the property for a week under the belief that a resolution was forthcoming, we were informed that we now have 24 hours to vacate and relocate our belongings. We were notified that if we are not fully moved out by 10:00 AM on January 8, 2026, law enforcement will be required to remove us. This has been emotionally overwhelming and financially destabilizing, but your support has reminded us that we are not alone.
Every contribution is helping us secure immediate housing, move our belongings safely, and begin rebuilding after this experience. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us in a moment we never imagined we’d face. Your kindness has given us strength, hope, and the ability to keep moving forward.
With love and gratitude, Austin and Asia
