Last week, our family experienced a devastating barn fire that changed everything in a matter of minutes.
Our barn wasn’t just a building. It was home to our animals and the place where we kept everything needed to care for our property and the life we built. In the fire, we lost most of our animals — including our two horses — and that loss alone has been absolutely heartbreaking. These animals were not just livestock; they were members of our family, each with their own personality and place in our lives.
The barn also held all of the tools, equipment, and materials my dad spent years collecting through hard work and sacrifice. Our home and land were his dream. He worked from nothing to build a life where he could finally have something like this, and watching him grieve the animals he loved and the years of work that disappeared in minutes has been incredibly painful.
Along with the emotional loss, we are now facing immediate out-of-pocket costs for cleanup, replacing basic equipment, veterinary care, feed, and necessities for the animals that survived, while still trying to keep up with everyday bills and responsibilities.
We are asking for help during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation, no matter the size, will help us begin to recover and rebuild what was lost. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to our family.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give. We are truly grateful.
