Yesterday, my husband and I experienced something we never imagined—our RV, which we had just purchased, was completely destroyed in a fire before we even had the chance to get it insured. In a matter of moments, everything we owned was either burned or damaged by water. We lost not just our home on wheels, but all of our possessions and the sense of security we had been building together.
The aftermath has been overwhelming. We are now faced with the daunting task of cleaning up, covering dump and cleaning fees, doing endless loads of laundry, and arranging for a tow truck large enough to move what’s left of our RV. The costs are adding up quickly, and we simply don’t have the resources to handle this on our own.
I want to thank anyone who is able to donate and anyone who is sending good thoughts and encouragement—every bit of support helps, whether it’s financial or emotional. I’m at a loss, but this experience is reminding me to be grateful for what I still have. Most importantly, no one I love was hurt and our animals are safe. Thank you again for your kindness, and if you feel so inclined, please share our story. Your support means the world to us.
