Help Us Survive After Kitchen Disaster

Update 6/19/2025:
My neighbors insurance company has denied the liability claim. The hoa is covering the up front costs of repair but it's likely that I'm on the hook to pay that back. The main problem is that because the insurance company has denied liability, they won't pay for temporary accommodations and the food costs of dining out for the past month have used all my available funds. We're in pretty dire straights over here and could really use the help to cover food costs
Four weeks ago, a water leak from my neighbor’s unit destroyed our kitchen, leaving me and my two kids, ages 8 and 12, without a safe or functional space to cook or gather. Since then, we’ve been confined to our bedrooms to avoid the mold and damage, and every meal has had to come from fast food or restaurants. The kitchen is being completely rebuilt, but the process is expected to take at least two more months.
We’ve received some support from our HOA, but insurance has denied liability, leaving us struggling to cover the costs of relocating and daily living expenses. With school ending soon, I’m especially worried about keeping my kids safe, fed, and comfortable during this stressful time. Any help will go directly toward temporary housing, meals, and basic needs while we wait for our home to be repaired. Your support would mean so much to us as we work to get back on our feet.
