Help US Rebuild WNC

Hello everyone,

Taylor (GingerBeard Builds) and myself (JBS Fabrications) have been working together for the last several years in the Asheville and surrounding areas, building and renovating many homes and businesses. Our combined skill sets, along with other contractors that we are close friends with, have allowed us as a group to tackle just about any project thrown our way.

As most of you know, Hurricane Helene has devastated many parts of WNC. Many of the towns along the major waterways in our area have unimaginable damage, and many of the areas that were not along the waterways have suffered from landslides and fallen trees. Several small towns and areas are even still cut off from the world around them, and the rebuilding efforts in our area are going to take many months and, realistically, years.

With the current state our area is in, we are having a tough time wrapping our heads around continuing on with our work in the same way we have been. With so much devastation and so many people in need, we would love to use our skills and efforts to help rebuild the local communities we all love. Our ultimate goal with this fundraiser is:

-To be able to put our full focus and attention on helping those truly in need of our demolition and rebuilding services free of charge. The more we can raise, the more help we can bring on and the longer we can continue our efforts

-Provide any waste removal services we can associated with demo work and general cleanup within the communities

-We are currently looking into building and supplying mobile shower systems for the folks who are working to dig out our towns that have been buried in mud, debris and waste (some of which is toxic) and for those who don’t have any water at all (some current estimates I’ve heard are as long as 9 weeks for getting water service). While we believe we have some donated items for this, there will be some supplies that we will need to purchase ourselves.

I’m certain this list will grow as we continue to see the needs of our communities. As of right now and over the last week and a half, we have given our efforts to our immediate friends and families as well as to local food and water distribution sites who are making sure those in the local communities are getting the food, water and supplies they need to survive. We hope that we can continue our efforts here and also start transitioning into helping rebuild our local communities in the coming weeks, months and years. Your donation will help us proceed with these efforts and obviously again, the more we can raise, the longer we can continue to our efforts and the bigger we can build our team of volunteers.
